Welcome to Our Class
Galileo Galilei was an Italian astronomer, physicist, engineer, philosopher, and mathematician of the seventeenth century credited with playing a major role in the scientific revolution. One of his many intellectual quotes reads “I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.” I believe the fundamental goal of teaching is to foster learning. Although everyone is capable of learning, it is our responsibility as educators to ignite a student's desire to learn and provide a safe environment that allows them to effectively master new concepts and skills. Each student is unique in his or her own way and need a safe, caring, and challenging atmosphere to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is our job as educators to educate the "whole child" and to help students reach their full potential and become productive members of society.
